The Fords of Mikko Hirvonen and Marcus Gronholm narrowly hold the first two places after the opening Super Special Stage of the Rally of Argentina.
Hirvonen’s Focus leads Gronholm’s identical car by 0.6 of a second after the short stage, with the Citroens of Dani Sordo and Sebastien Loeb third and fourth.
The Subarus of Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson are next, with Atkinson 1.2 seconds behind his team-mate. The Australian is competing with new Belgian co-driver, Stephane Prevot, for the first time.
