Rally stars including Petter Solberg, Colin McRae, Stig Blomqvist and Paddy Hopkirk are confirmed as starters on the Forest Rally Stage at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, from June 22 to 24.

The loose-surface stage, now 3km in length and with a new S-bend and a jump, will host both modern and historic rally cars for demonstration runs.

Subaru, Ford, Mitsubishi and Skoda will all take part and will perform on the hillclimb run as well as the rally stage.

Colin McRae will demonstrate his self-designed R4 rally car, developed for National-level privateers.

Other drivers who will compete include former World Champions Hannu Mikkola and Bjorn Waldegard, the world’s fastest ever female rally driver, Michele Mouton, Gwyndaf Evans and Tony Fall.

Cars include the early ‘60s Mini Cooper S and Saab 96, the Lancia Delta Integrale, Mk1 and Mk2 Ford Escorts, Group 4 Lancia Stratos and Porsche 911, plus the ‘80s Group B Audi Quattro, Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Nissan 240 RS.
