The Subaru Motorsports USA duo lead Skoda driver, Barry McKenna, after six stages.
Pastrana and Gelsomino did lead by more than 20 seconds after day one, but lost ground to the Irishman.
Brandon Semenuk lies in third place.
Eight stages remain on the second day of the event.
