WRC round, Rally Germany, is planning to run its rally with fans, despite the extension of an events restriction in the country. "Managers at ADAC Rallye Deutschland have been working with the authorities to decide what measures would need to be put in place to ensure that the round of the World Championship scheduled for 15th-18th October 2020 can go ahead in the presence of spectators," an event statement said. "All possible options are being looked into and ideas developed that would enable the rally to take place, while respecting social distancing and complying with hygiene regulations. "The safety of everyone involved and that of spectators is paramount where all matters of planning are concerned." Only three rounds of the World Rally Championship have been held in 2020 – Monte Carlo, Sweden and Mexico. Sebastien Ogier currently leads the championship.
