Steve Glenney has powered to victory in The Bend motorsport complex's inaugural day/night Stadium Spring last weekend.
Driving his TechSport Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8, Glenney took the win at the new event, which combined parts of the go-kart track and outer gravel sections - similar to what was used in last year's Australian Rally Championship round.
Glenney's win came ahead of South Australian Rally Championship regulars Zayne Admiraal and Ben Calder, both in Subaru WRXs.
The field consisted of over 30 cars, running in both Clubman and Rally categories, with awards for 2Wd and 4WD cars.
Scores were determined solely on lap times, with up to six cars on the track at any one time.
The Stadium Sprint was lauded as a success from both competitors and organisers, and future events are already being planned.
