The seasoned pairing of Alan Upton and Mark Laidlay have taken another victory in a Historic Rally Association event, this time winning the Rallye des Pyrenees in their Datsun Bluebird P510.
They took a narrow three minute victory over the Peugeot 404 of Rob Dyer and Steuart Snooks, with a big gap back to third placegetters Rick Hartmann and Dave Smith in another Datsun.
Twenty-four cars started the event, which was directed by Dave Gallacher and ran in the Pyrenees area near Ararat in central Victoria.
