Judd returns to rallying after injury

Veteran New Zealand rally driver-navigator Jeff Judd, from Christchurch, will make his return to the New Zealand Championship in the final round – the Rally Hawke's Bay – this weekend.

Judd rolled his classic Ford Escort RS1800 in the second leg of the opening round in Otago in April, after winning the opening leg.

Two days after that, Judd was involved in a jet-boating accident, smashing a shoulder, breaking a hand and fracturing a vertebrae. For the Hawke's Bay event, Judd will drive his lower specification Mk1 Escort.
