The Rally is a round of the NSW Rally Championship, the Realistic Car Rentals NSW Clubman Rally Series, the Shannons Insurance ACT Rally Series and the Rallyschool.com Excel Rally Series.
In a total change of attack, the Rally will not be visiting Sunny Corner at all, possibly for the first time in the event’s long history.
The rally will start at the Bathurst Courthouse and will then go to the famous Hen and Chicken Lane section. From here the Rally will travel toward Blayney, travelling via several Shire road sections including a couple of sections last used in the 1984 Prime Midstate Rally, which in that year was a round of the Australian Rally Championship.
The headquarters of the event will be based at the Blayney Showground and will feature a Service/ Meal break and the finish venue.
After the break competitors, having had an easy morning’s run, will get into the real action with another seven sections, six of which will be Blayney Shire Council Shire road sections and one 42km forestry stage which will test competitors concentration after some short sprint type sections.
The event should be a good test of both drivers and cars with plenty of fast roads, but also some technical roads to keep them on their toes.
It is intended to have several spectator points on the day and instructions will be available at www.blcc.com.au and www.bmsc.com.au also www.nswrally.com as soon as they become available closer to the event.
They will also be available at the start and at the Blayney Showground HQ.
