Two key WRC officials have met with Rally New Zealand organisers in Auckland to discuss the event's return to the World Rally Championship next season.
WRC Promotor Managing Director Oliver Ciesla and WRC Event Director Simon Larkin met with rally organisers this week to discuss several things regarding the September scheduled event.
In discussion was the rally route itself as well as meetings with key stakeholders and media.
The visit was earlier than scheduled after last week's cancellation of Rally Australia.
They also took time to observe a supercross motorcycle event held at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, a location that is being considered to host both the service park and super special stage.
