Jeff Morton and Daymon Nicoli have started their season in perfect style with a win in the Lake Mountain Sprint. Driving their new Porsche GT2 RS, the pair won the Lake Mountain Sprint in Victoria by over two minutes. The finished the event with a total time over two minutes clear of Dean Lillie and Adam Kudra in a Holden Monaro. A pair of Porsche GT3s were third and fourth, driven by Mark Cates/Jarrod Akker, and Richard and Chris Perini. The husband and wife team of Neal and Sue Cuthbert were fifth in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Front-runners Barrie Smith and Dale Moscatt retired their Audi TT RS with mechanical problems, as did John and Janet Ireland in their Dodge Viper after an accident.
