Sebastien Loeb has taken victory in Rally Japan by just 5.6 seconds, despite a desperate drive today by Ford's Marcus Gronholm.  Mikko Hirvonen completed his 50th WRC event with his second straight podium, taking out third place.

Aussie Chris Atkinson (Subaru) backed up last year's third place with fourth this year, and he was followed home by Manfred Stohl (Peugeot), Japan's Toshi Arai (Subaru), Dani Sordo (Citroen) and Petter Solberg (Subaru).
