Australian Glenn Macneall has replaced New Zealander Tony Sircombe as co-driver for Production World Rally Champion, Toshi Arai.

Thrity-five year old Macneall formerly sat beside Chris Atkinson in the Subaru World Rally Team, and steps up to replace Sircombe, who has retired from professional co-driving to concentrate on his business interests.

Macneall and Arai contested the World Rally Championship together in 2001, in an Impreza World Rally Car. MacNeall also partnered Arai on two Asia Pacific championship rallies in 2007.

After his split with Chris Atkinson early in last year’s WRC, he spent the remainder of the year co-drivingfor his girlfriend, Emma Gilmour, in the New Zealand Rally Championship.

A Western Australian, Macneall now resides in Gilmour’s home town of Dunedin, in New Zealand’s south island.
