The NSW Excel Rally Series has announced that RACE BRAKES SYDNEY has agreed to become the naming rights sponsor of the Excel Rally Series for the next two years.

The multi-year agreement will make the NSW Excel Rally Series the richest one-make rally series in the country.

The support from RACE BRAKES SYDNEY comes in the form of marketing and financial assistance as well as competitor discounts on brake and clutch components. There is an allocation of prize money for the series, which will be provided at each round based on the number of competitors.

The Series organisers hope that the RACE BRAKES sponsorship will help encourage new competitors to the series.

The Excel Rally Series has seen rapid growth since its inception in 2005 and is attracting new competitors to the sport.  The 2007 RACE BRAKES Excel Rally Series will see up to ten NSW Excels compete, of which more than half have first time drivers.

The Excel Series has also spread interstate to Victoria and South Australia. The Victorian Series was established in 2006 and has six regular competitors, and South Australia will commence competition in 2007.

RACE BRAKES has been a long time supporter of rallying in NSW and sees the Excel Rally Series as the future to growth in our sport. The front wheel drive, cost controlled formula, allows competitors to build cars and be competitive for a minimal outlay.
