Max McRae, the third generation of the famous Scottish rally family, tested his new rally car for the first time in Australia last weekend.
Driving a Ford Fiesta, McRae was co-driven by former Australian Rally Champion Bill Hayes.
"First gravel test today up at Baker's Hill where the rally sprint at the end of the month is held. Learnt so much today and been quickest I ever have been on gravel," McRae said.
"Can’t wait for my first gravel rally at the end of the month💪🏻"
As reported earlier on RallySport Magazine, McRae is competing in an open-wheel circuit racing championship in Western Australia this year, but is already eyeing off a move onto the gravel.
