Australian rally history will be made when multiple Australian Rally Champion co-driver, Coral Taylor, calls the notes for daughter Molly in the UK next month. Taylor junior is competing in this year's British Rally Championship (BRC) in a Citroen C2 R2 Max and has called on her mother to call the notes for the upcoming Isle of Man Rally and the Ulster International Rally in August.

Coral Taylor is a vastly experienced co-driver, having guided Neal Bates to four Australian Rally Championship titles, and her presence in the car will no doubt give Molly plenty of confidence going into the next event.

After just missing out on claiming last year's Swift Sport Cup title in the BRC due to mechanical problems, Molly switched to the Citroen Racing Trophy competition this year. The fiercely contested series has produced plenty of challenges for Molly, particularly on tarmac rallies where most of her competitors have much more experience, but she has consistenly improved her times over each event. With the Isle of Man Rally another tarmac event, Coral's experience in the car will be invaluable. Neal Bates was always the man to beat on tarmac rallies in Australia, so Coral will have plenty of valuable tips to share with her daughter.

"I am really looking forward to heading over to the UK and competing with Molly," Coral said. "Actually, I’m quite excited. I’ve been very proud of her efforts and I’ve watched the amazing amount of work she puts into her rallying. She has been keen to get me into the car for some time now and I think I surprised her when I sent a message to say 'OK I’m coming and I’ve booked the flights!'"

The Isle of Man Rally will take place on July 9 and 10.
