New Zealand based motorsport electronics manufacturer, Monit Rally Computers, are looking to encourage new entrants into rallying by offering prizes to the first novice driver and co-driver in selected events around New Zealand.

Kicking off with the Canterbury Rally to be held on the 6th of June, Monit will be presenting two separate prizes, with an award to the highest placed novice competitor in both the co-driver and driver categories. The novices, having competed in less than three rallies previously, will be awarded with trophies along with vouchers to spend at motoring retailer Repco NZ.

The initiative follows the enthusiasm of Monit company directors to see rallying continue to grow and strengthen in New Zealand and around the world.

“We are seeing a resurgence of rallying around the world and with a strong New Zealand National Championship field this year we are looking to encourage beginners to get out there at grass roots level and give it a go,” Monit Director, James Holder, said.

Monit Rally Computer products are manufactured in New Zealand and exported around the world, with their modern, easy-to-use tripmeters eclipsing older technology and securing partnerships with top level teams including; Ford M-Sport in the Fiesta R2 Series, Opel in the Corsa S2000, Ken Block, The Peking to Paris Rally Association, Toshi Arai Motorsport and Ralliart Italy in the Pirelli Star driver scheme and many more around the globe.
