Bega Valley Motors Rally Clerk of Course, Tom Snooks, has announced that there will be awards for first, second and third outright in the event, to be conducted over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

“It was a complete oversight not announcing this in the supplementary regulations”, Snooks said.

“I was concentrating on the State Championship and the Excel and ACT Regional Series and completely overlooked including the outright placings in the regulations. This means that competitors who are eligible or not eligible for championship, or series points can take out the outright awards”.

Snooks also said that the regulations list Historic Rally Cars as not being eligible for non-championship points. He explained that this is not correct and in fact the crews of these cars are eligible for points if they are registered with their respective state Rally Panel.

“We will bring out a bulletin to correct these oversights”, Snooks concluded.

The Bega Valley Motors Rally is also open to non-championship competitors. However, as preference will be given to Championship, and the two Series' competitors, they will be accepted on a ‘first come - first served’ basis.

Cars not conforming to PRC, FIA Group N or Historic Rally Cars will not be eligible to win outright, but will have their own category to compete in.
