It's gone largely unnoticed, but the Australian Rally Commission (ARCom) has a new chairman.
The Commission is charged with the strategic planning and development of the Rally/Road discipline in the country.
It also assists in the ongoing management of rallying and road activities conducted within the territory of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.
Following long-time chairman Col Trinder's retirement from the position, the chairman's role has been given to Jon Thomson.
Thomson has long been involved in NSW rallying, and has been a motorsport journalist for much of his career.
He was selected by fellow ARCom members to the role.
ARCom will meet in July, where it plans to come up with a strategic direction for rallying in Australia.
The rest of the ARCom board comprises:
Ian Bigg - Member (NSW)
Toni Feaver - Member (WA)
Graham Malcolm - Member (Tas)
Hamish Marquis - Member (Tas)
Ross Runnalls - Member (Vic)
Matthew Selley - Member (SA)
Molly Taylor - Member (NSW)
Adrian Coppin - Member (QLD)
Terry Atkinson - CAMS Board Portfolio Holder
Jake Bryant - Executive Officer
