A brand new Ford rally car has been testing in Sardinia this week, with a 1-litre turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive. The Ford Fiesta Rally3 is expected to appear on the stages in 2021, and has been developed by M-Sport in Poland. It features the Fiesta ST's 1-litre EcoBoos 3-cylinder engine, with a turbocharger helping to increase the power to around 210bhp, and a four-wheel drive transmission. As per FIA regulations, the price of the car will not exceed 100,000 euros. The car was being tested by former Junior World Rally Champion, the Spaniard Nil Solans. The last category of the new FIA “pyramid” to appear in the race, Rally3 now hopes to convince other manufacturers to become interested in this formula.
