M-Sport Ford World Rally Team has formed a new partnership with ZF for the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship. The team started development work with the German company last year and will have exclusive use of ZF’s WRC shock absorbers from this year's season opener at Rallye Monte-Carlo. The continued development of the EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC remains the team’s top priority, and this new partnership is expected to further enhance the performance of the top-specification Fiesta. Chris Williams, Head of Rally Engineering at M-Sport, said: “Our development work with ZF has been going well and we’re looking forward to having them as part of the team this year. "Our focus is on the continued development of the Ford Fiesta WRC and I’m hopeful that we will be able to make further gains alongside this new and valued partner.” Norbert Odendahl, CEO of ZF Race Engineering, said: “ZF has a long and very successful history in rally sports. Our new partnership with M-Sport as one of the leading teams in WRC history will certainly help us promoting our brand and expertise in off-road racing. "We are looking forward to an exciting and successful season together.”
