September's World Rally Championship event in Turkey will be run without spectators
"The 2020 Turkey Rally will take place without spectators as part of the measures taken against the COVID-19 epidemic," the event organisers said.
Meanwhile, there are reports that another new WRC round, this time in Croatia, could yet make an appearance on the 2020 calendar.
“We are in close contact with Croatia. But everything is open there. Getting a championship round off the ground in two months is a real mammoth task,” FIA Rally Director, Yves Matton said.
The current WRC calendar is:
04-06 September – Rally Estonia
18-20 September – Rally Turkey
08-11 October – Rally Sardinia
19-22 November – Ypres Rally (Belgium)
