A 17-year old Norwegian, driving on his first ever rally, has won the seventh round of the British BTRDA Cluman championship, driving a Ford Focus RS WRC02.
Andreas Mikkelsen celebrated his 17th birthday on June 22 and passed his British driving test on July 6. On July 8 he won the Quinton Stages forest rally in Wales! It was the first time he has competed on a rally as a driver.Â
The star of the future won all seven stages of the event (covering 45 miles) to beat the 119 other competitors by 59 seconds.
