AMSAG, the NSW rally club series with a strategic alliance with the Australian Auto Sport Alliance (AASA), has announced that they will be giving away a newly built, rally prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8.
The ‘Live the Dream’ promotion will run in conjunction with the PipeKing Southern Cross Rally Series, and will grow AMSAG’s popularity as the club builds on its reputation of providing value-for-money grassroots rallying.
The six-round series, with two events each to the west, south and north of Sydney, proved successful last season, and AMSAG has retained the state-wide format.
To be eligible to win the dream prize, competitors must compete in at least three rounds of the series, with further criteria to be announced in the coming days.
In line with the relaxed nature of the series, there is no registration fee for either the pointscore or ‘win a car’ promotion.
The introduction of a three round Junior Series for drivers under the age of 30, and a revamp of the Lady Drivers championship, forms part of a multi-year grassroots development plan by the club.
Additionally, increased media exposure will combine with the ‘Live the Dream’ promotion to ensure that AMSAG rallying in NSW continues to build on its solid foundation.
The series kicks off on March 17 with the running of the Blacksmiths Inn Rally from John’s River. Reigning Australian Rally Champion, Nathan Quinn, will lead the field away in defence of his 2017 victory.
