The first round of the NSW Rallysprint Series will be held on February 22, with the New England Sporting Car Club conducting the event over a 6km course on shire roads.
Major sponsor of the event is Paul Kennedy of Johnson & Kennedy Freight Services, Armidale. $1500 prizemoney is on offer and with a $200 entry fee, 32 entries have been received already.
The maximum number of cars for the event is 35, so with a week to go before entries close, a full field is expected.
The event will be based at Echnida Gully, a bush function centre at Metz, 25km to the east of Armidale. The start, finish, service park, post event presentation and accommodation are all at Echnida Gully.
