A one hour program of May’s International Classic Rally of Otago will be screened on Channel 10 next month.
The popular classic rally, which this year featured over a dozen competitors from Australia, will screen late in July, with a date to be confirmed.
Paul Mullan, head of the production company Black Magic, which produced the program, has worked hard to get coverage of the rally on free-to-air television in Australia. A number of sponsors were also sought to ensure that Black Magic had the budget to produce the program.
The Otago Classic Rally program has already aired on New Zealand television, and copies of the extended coverage, including in-car action from all 15 stages of the rally, will be available in the coming weeks.
The 2007 rally was won by New Zealander Deane Buist in a Ford Escort RS1800, with Geoff Portman the highest placed Australian in a Datsun Stanza.
