2014 Australian Rally Champion, Scott Pedder, will make a return to rallying at the upcoming Eureka Rush Rally. Pedder, whose family company is the event sponsor, will drive his championship-winning Renault Clio R3 as the zero car for the one-day event. He will be joined by his long-time co-driver, Glenn Weston, in the first event they have done since Rally Finland in August 2016. The pair's run as the course opening car in Ballarat will be followed up by an entry in October's Akademos Rally. "We've given the Clio a big refresh," Pedder told RallySport Magazine.
"I love the car - it's pretty special to me."

Scott Pedder returns to rallying later this month.

The rebuild means the car is basically brand new, with a new roll cage, new engine, and a reduction in weight. "We've also finally put a Motec ECU in the car, which is long overdue. "I'm really looking forward to Ballarat, but I'm hoping it doesn't rain. They've given me a five minute gap in front of Hayden (Paddon) and I might need all of that," he laughed. After the Eureka Rally, the Clio will be driven by Will Orders in the new Bill Orders Memorial Rally in early October. "It's fantastic that Will can drive the car in an event honouring his dad, and it also means he can give the car a proper test," Pedder added. The former Mitsubishi Ralliart factory driver also hinted at further events in 2020, although any plans for next year are still to be decided. Pedder will be inducted into the Australian Rally Hall of Fame at a special dinner before the Eureka Rally on Thursday, August 22.
