Former Mitsubishi Ralliart Australia driver, Scott Pedder, will contest the Rally of New Zealand for the first time this year.
Along with regular co-driver Glen Weston, Pedder will drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 leased from former top New Zealand driver, Reece Jones. He will also have several key personnel from Ralliart Australia working on the car during the September event.
“The combination we’ve been able to achieve will ensure the best possible car and a highly professional team,” Pedder said. “We’ve got a ton of local knowledge and experience on our side and we’re ready to deliver the best possible results both on and off the track.”
Pedder has had a long-time ambition to contest the Rally of New Zealand.
“Having the opportunity to compete in Rally New Zealand is amazing,” he said. “It is unbelievably special to be part of an event such as the WRC and I have received incredible support from everyone involved in getting us to this point now.”
The Rally of New Zealand will again be based in Hamilton, on the north island.
