The Historic Rally Club of NSW and ACT are planning a Perth to Sydney Marathon in 2021.
The event will follow the original 1968 London to Sydney Marathon route from coast to coast to celebrate one the greatest marathon of its type.
The event will be run as a Navigational Assembly – Social Tour, with the Event Schedule to have an approximate duration of between nine and 11 days, with target dates proposed to be from October 28 to November 9, 2021 (TBC).
The organising team includes experience rally men Laurie Mason, Ted Norman, Ian Lane, Mike Batten, Dave Johnson, Bob Watson and Ian Richards.
It is hoped that if the event is a success, other great Australian long-distance events may be revisited.
