The Johnson & Kennedy Freight Services Rallysprint was conducted at Echidna Gully, near Armidale in NSW on Saturday, where 27 crews lined up to drive the 6km shire road stage.

Three runs were completed in dry conditions with one casualty, the WRX of Swan and Simon which had a major crash with multiple rollovers. Both crew members were shaken, but okay.

Nathan Quinn (Lancer Evo) was leading from Peter Roberts (Lancer Evo) at the halfway point, but heavy rain started to fall for the reverse direction recce, turning the road into a skating rink.

Due to the conditions, two runs were completed in the afternoon, with Roberts/Kerr pulling a blinder on the final run to win the event by five seconds from Quinn/Green.

The Nissan 180SX of Darby/Mather were third, and the first 2WD car home.

Full results are available at nescc.com.au, and the club would like to thank all officials who put up with the wet and cold.
