2012 Rally Calder to be held between March 1 and 4 will also feature round one of the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship, the Polaris/CanAm Side by Side Rally Challenge and a club vs. club road car challenge.
CEO of the Bosch ARC, Scott Pedder and the promoter and visionary of this innovative new rally entertainment event is holding an information night at a venue within the Inner Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne on Monday 19th September commencing at 8pm.
Scott is calling on all rally enthusiasts to play an active role in this exciting new rally event.
"Rally Calder cannot be the success that it needs to be without the support of the rallying and wider motorsport community - it is as simple as that. We have numerous positions we have to fill and we are looking for passionate people to take on various roles within both or either the sporting, commercial or operational areas of the event. Rally Calder features a very comprehensive and extensive schedule and in some ways is more akin to a race event than a rally event given the unique rally location. We obviously don't need as many road closure officials as a normal rally road event but on the other hand we will have a greater requirement for spectator and general event organisational staff. This event, designed to take our great sport to the people, has the ability to reinvent our sport. If, like me, you live and breathe rallying, well now is the time to act and be part of something that hopefully we look back on in a few years as the genuine rebirth of the ARC and rallying in Australia." Said Scott Pedder.
