The Rally Australia Trial Event, a round of the Western Australian Clubman Cup Series, was cancelled last weekend due to local police searching for a missing person.
The decision to cancel the event was made on Saturday, October 7 just before the event was to commence, to enable the Police to continue their search in the Mundaring area, north east of Perth.
The Trial event is an optional event organized by Tourism Western Australia to evaluate the training and systems developed in preparation for the FIA World Rally Championship event, Telstra Rally Australia.
Organisers of the event believe that the cancellation will have no adverse effect on the running of Rally Australia.
