The partnership with the inaugural Pirelli scheme sees the drivers take advantage of the latest in tripmeter technology with the addition of a Monit Rally Computer to all five of the cars.
Pirelli's Star Drivers, including New Zealand's Mark Tapper, were selected as the most promising up and coming rallying talent from around the globe. They will be competing head-to-head in six rounds of the WRC, piloting brand new Mitsubishi Evolution X rally cars prepared by Ralliart Italy.
To give their young stars the competitive edge, Pirelli and Ralliart chose Monit to help guide them through the rigours of the WRC rounds.
The Monit range has made significant advances in tripmeter technology employing innovative design and the latest technology to provide a rally computer that is easier to use than its competitors while providing all the features needed at the top level.
“Monit Rally Computers are less than one third of the weight of competing products, this is important as teams are continually trying to get vehicle weights down to ensure they are competitive,†states Monit Director James Holder.
“This, coupled with our extensive feature list, now boasting a fuel readout function, ensures that there is a Monit Rally Computer that will benefit every competitor.â€
With an increasing number of teams switching to the New Zealand designed and manufactured product, and with the Pirelli Star Drivers added to the list, Monit is fast becoming the tripmeter of choice by both club and professional level teams alike.
