It was a good weekend for Australians competing overseas, with West Australian Bill Hayes heading the list of successful Aussies.
Hayes, co-driving for Alister McRae, won the Malaysian round of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship for Proton, with Chris Atkinson finishing second after a water leak cost the Queenslander 22 minutes on the opening day.
Coffs Harbour's Nathan Quinn also tasted success in the event.
In the United States, Will Orders and Toni Feaver finished a brilliant fifth outright, and took first in the two-wheel drive category of the New England Forest Rally, in Maine.
The second Summit Rally Team Nissan Silvia, driven by Ross and Scott Allan, finished fourth in the two-wheel drive category.
More details on the above events will follow.
