Rallying has been banned in Greece until the end of August after a fatal accident on last weekend's Black Rose Rally.
The young Toyota Starlet driver lost his life when his car crashed down a mountainside.
This is the second fatal accident in Greece in a month. In the other accident, a co-driver lost his life.
The decision to suspend rallying has been taken so authorities can review current standards, including licencing procedures and other ways to make rallying in Greece safer,  The ban continues till the end of August, and encompasses all rallying from local up to national level.Â
The Acropolis Rally, which takes place in Greece in June, has been exempted from the ban.
