Brendan Reeves will take on a challenge of a different kind tonight (February 18) when he pulls on an  Essendon Football Club guernsey and takes part in a Legends charity match at Etihad Stadium.

The game is a fundraiser in support of flood victims and will be held at half time of the NAB Cup match.

Brendan will line up for the 9-a-side Essendon Celebrity Legends alongside former players including Matthew Lloyd, Scott Lucas, Terry Daniher and Jason Johnson.  They will compete against an all-star Brisbane team.

9-a-side football is played with modified rules and is non-contact.

Brendan is thrilled to have been asked to take part in the match, and as a former junior footballer, he is really looking forward to pulling on the boots again.

"Playing at Etihad Stadium will be a real buzz," Brendan said, "and to have some former Essendon greats as team mates will be fantastic.

"Hopefully the game is really entertaining for the crowd and raises plenty of money for flood victims."
