Brendan Reeves will return to the United States in July to contest the New England Forest Rally as part of an M-Sport team which will also include Ken Block.

UK based M-Sport has just announced that it is working with Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing and Team O'Neil to debut the new Ford Fiesta R5 2000cc and the new Ford Fiesta R2 1000cc at the event which will run on July 17 and 18.

While Block will debut the Fiesta R5, Reeves will drive the new Ford Fiesta R2 that took a class win on debut at the recent Rally Portugal in the hands of Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy competitor, Max Vatanen. Both the Fiesta R5 and the Fiesta R2 will use DMACK tyres at the New England Forest Rally – having proven to be Rally-America winners in the past.

Reeves, who will be co-driven by fellow Australian Anthony Mcloughlin, will bring his experience of the Ford Fiesta and the Sunday River stages in to play in an aim to highlight the speed of the new EcoBoost Fiesta R2 and increase his tally of 2WD class wins in the Rally-America series. He contested five of the Rally America events in 2013, including the New England Forest Rally, and took five class wins in the 2WD category.

"I'm very excited to be returning to America for the New England Forest Rally,” Reeves said. “It’s a real thrill to be part of the M-Sport/Hoonigan Racing team.

“I’m looking forward to driving the new Fiesta R2 as the 1600cc car was such a brilliant package. I can't wait to see what we can do with the new engine platform.

“NEFR is an amazing event and Anthony and I are really keen to get into the car and give the car the perfect introduction to the American rally scene.”
