Australian co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino will make her debut in a World Rally Car later this week when she sits alongside Kurt Busch at the Monza Rally Show in Italy.

Busch, a well-known NASCAR driver, and Gelsomino will be competing in a Ford Fiesta as part of the Monster Energy and M-Sport team with team mates Valentino Rossi/Carlo Cassina and Ken Block/Alex Gelsomino.

The event consists of nine special stages and a total of 166 kilometres, including a 44 kilometre stage.

“I’m very excited to be competing for the first time in a World Rally Car,” Gelsomino said. “To have this opportunity to work with Monster Energy and M-Sport is amazing and I’m really looking forward to the event.”

The Monza Rally Show starts on Friday, November 28 with two stages in the afternoon followed by five stages on Saturday and a further two stages on Sunday.
