Two time QRC champion Steve Shepheard, his co-driver John McCarthy and the GSA Motorsport team have competed for the past five years in the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) achieving an ARC round win, several podiums and third outright in the 2011 series, and are now excited to be gearing up for a return to the Queensland Series.
The moment the decision was made, the GSA team started talking to FEDERAL about running their tyres, and very quickly FEDERAL put together a full naming rights sponsorship package with tyre supply and direct technical support from FEDERAL Motor Sports (FMS) International.
This year’s five round QRC kicks off this coming Saturday June 1st with the ‘Gallangowan Anniversary Rally’, and Shepheard can’t wait,
“We are really looking forward to getting back in the seat in a few ways .... to run as the FEDERAL Tyres Rally Team, to be back in the QRC with a lot of my mates, and returning to the roads and events I grew up on.”
Shepheard and McCarthy are returning to the forest's with a few changes to their Mitsubishi Evo X.

I am pleased to have the team on the newly released Federal FMS G10 rally tyre. The FMS Range will be increased and with GSA’s involvement we hope to further develop the range to precisely fit what is necessary in the market,” he said.

All team partners from the previous years have continued their product and technology support this year.
