2003 World Rally Champion, Petter Solberg, has entered his home rally, Rally Norway - but is still without a car to drive!
Solberg, who was left without a drive after Subaru's sudden withdrawal from the WRC just prior to Christmas, assures fans on his website that he is "working flat out to find a solution regarding the car", however nothing has been confirmed at this stage.
A report on www.norsk-rally.com suggested Solberg had purchased a Citroen C4, but the Norwegian has denied it.
"There are a lot of rumours on the internet today, saying that I bought a Citroën yesterday. That is not correct. Nothing is decided regarding a rally-car yet," he said.
Entries for Rally Norway closed on January 6 but the FIA granted Solberg an extra week to submit his entry. He submitted a private entry as the ‘Petter Solberg Rally MSN Edition’ but has not yet specified what car he will drive.
