As the tears streamed down Solberg’s face in a post-crash interview it was clear the youngster was hurting, but hiding from your mistakes won’t help the problem.

Yes, the car is difficult to drive at times, but his team-mates have yet to ‘bin’ a car this year, so it’s certainly not undriveable.

If, as rumoured, Solberg is benched for the remainder of the season, it will give him the chance to take stock of his career. It’s a challenging period for the talented youngster, and one he’ll have to get on top of very quickly.
