The Scandinavian winter rally season started this weekend with the opening round of the Norwegian and Finnish national series.
The Norwegian Sigdals Rally was won by Mads Ostberg’s Citroen C3 R5 which finished almost a minute and a half ahead of Anders Grondal’s Fiesta R5 Mark 2.
Ostberg won the event as his preparation ramps up for his WRC season.
Then in North Finland, the Lapland Arctic Rally was won by Kalle Rovanpera’s Toyota Yaris WRC which beat Teemu Asunmaa’s Skoda Fabia R5 Evo by three minutes.
A notable finisher was Valtteri Bottas who finished ninth in a Citroen DS3 WRC.
