Subaru withdraw Atko from Rally Ireland

Subaru have withdrawn Chris Atkinson from Rally Ireland because of an engine problem. 

"In service last night the team realised there was an internal engine problem, and after looking at the data overnight and at the engine again this morning, there’s almost no possibility of the car reaching the end of the rally. Reluctantly we’ve no choice but to withdraw it," Subaru World Rally Team managing director, Richard Taylor, said.

Atkinson was in 29th position after an off-road excursion on Day 1, but had set a fastest stage time on Leg 2, highlighting his improved speed on tarmac.
