Suzuki has announced it will release details of its driver line-up for the two events it will contest in this year’s World Rally Championship, at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

Suzuki will enter the brand new SX4 in Rallye de France-Tour de Corse and Wales Rally GB, before its full assault on the championship in 2008.

Currently contesting the PWRC with the Suzuki Swift Super 1600, drivers P-G Andersson and Urmo Aava, will no doubt be keen to be part of a full WRC campaign in the future.

Another possible driver is former World Champion, Colin McRae, who has recently stated he is keen to return to the WRC next year.  McRae would bring a wealth of experience, in both testing and competing, to the team.

Chris Atkinson’s name has also been bandied around for a possible switch to Suzuki.  He is a former Asia Pacific Super 1600 Champion with Suzuki, and is well-regarded by team boss Monster Tajima.

The announcement is to be made on September 11.
