Clearly Tanak is the key to the future, but there were suggestions that M-Sport does not expect to remain in the race for the Estonian’s services.
M-Sport’s Richard Millener was quoted as saying: “Malcolm Wilson has stressed that we must also focus on the business side.
"We employ a large number of employees, and investing everything on one driver is something we do not want to end up with.”

Hyundai’s Andrea Adamo said his team had ended talks with Tanak.
Tanak joked and said: “I hope the situation will be resolved before Monte Carlo!”
