The mighty Quinn is Alpine Rally King

Nathan Quinn and Ray Winwood-Smith have taken back-to-back Alpine Rally wins after four days of enthralling competition in East Gippsland.

Driving a 52-year old Mazda RX2, the pair saw off a number of challengers and proved that reliability, as well as skill, are the keys to success in the 420-kilometre long rally.

Second place went to Andrew and David Travis in their 6 cylinder Nissan Gazelle, ahead of Claude Murray, with Lizzie Ferme alongside, in their classic Datsun 1600.
