The 2009 Targa Wrest Point saw Mark Clair and Jenna Kelley once again combine forces in the RaceRecall 1988 Porsche 911 Club Sport.
The event was well subscribed and gave competitors a chance to compete on some of the great Targa stages no longer used.
With an entry list of 116 cars, the team was going to have their work cut out against cars with a great deal of more power than the Late Classic Porsche. The event was well run and the roads were sensational. Â
Clair and Kelley, having competed at various events over many years, found their partnership really gelled and as a result, Mark made his first top ten in a tarmac rally.
A highlight for all was the run up and back to the Tahune Airwalk – 27km of tarmac rally heaven.
Both Mark and Jenna are extremely happy with the result considering the age and development of the car. The pair finished up 1st in class, 9th outright in the Late Classic sectionn and 39th outright overall.
