The recipient of the SA/NT Rising Star Award was announced on the night, and along with Guy, the other nominees were Daniel Day, Jake Clements and Dylan Richter. Guy was announced the winner and was very thankful to all who had helped him in achieving his goals for 2010.
“It is very exiting and a great honour to receive this, I would like to congratulate the other nominees for their efforts and also would like to thank the Judges for believing in me. I will try my very best to carry out the meaning of this award in the years to come,” he said.
In what was a great debut year for Guy and Brendan, and both now look forward to 2011, which will be a very different year as they move up into a 4WD turbo car.
“We have been lucky enough to purchase a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 over the summer and look forward to the challenge a new car will bring,” says Tyler.
Tyler will also contest the Australian Junior Rally Challenge at the Rally of South Australia qualifying round.
“The new junior series in the ARC is very exiting, a great stepping stone for young people in the sport. I look forward to the challenge as it will be very hard fought, especially for the 4WD prize,” he added.
