Tyler’s Magna goes the distance for second win

Scott Pedder was the star, Ryan Williams was dreadfully unlucky, and Guy Tyler picked up his second ARC 2WD Cup win of the year.

That was the story at this year's Gippsland Rally, with the biggest field of 2WD cars so far this season battling it out.

After problems at the season opener in April, Pedder had his title-winning Renault Clio back on song and carved up the stages, even taking the second quickest outright time on SS2.

By the completion of the first day, after eight stages, he and Chris Randell held a massive three minute and 12 second lead over Ryan Williams, but that was as far as they'd get.
