Mike was well-known in the NSW and ACT rally scene and, more recently, he had been actively involved in the classic rally car scene, and was one of the founding members of the Australian Classic Rally Association (ACRA).
Mike was a former contributor to Australian Rallysport News, providing the ACT state column, and was also a frequent advertiser buying and selling Haldas.
His funeral will be held at 1pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bungendore, on January 8. A eulogy, to be read at Mike's funeral, will be reprinted on RallySportMag.com.au next week.
