The future of the Wagga and District Car Club seems a little more secure after club members and the local community met last Monday night to discuss the future of the club and the actions needed to become relevant and develop strength to move forward.

Local television and print media got behind the meeting, with a good turn up of over 50 people in attendance.

“We had a terrific response from the community, and members past and present turned out to support the club and motorsport in the local area,” club president, Mike Meyer, said.

“Many great ideas were put forward and great feedback was provided by everyone.

“With such support a Special General Meeting has been called for July 25. The meeting will be held at the Kooringal Hotel in Wagga at 8pm.”

The meeting is being called to elect a new president and committee members. The committee will then derive a new vision and direction for the club.
